Fry's is replacing the gift card program with a new program, "Fry's Community Rewards." Beginning August 1 you can link your Fry's VIP card to ALA online. Fry's will give $500,000 a quarter to its participating organizations. The amount we receive will be determined by the spending of our linked supporters as it relates to the total spending of all participating organizations.
Fry's has told us that they will not be able to give us a statement of profits generated by individuals. Sadly this means that we will no longer be able to share these dollars that we receive from Fry's with you.
Several points going forward:
- If you continue to shop at Fry's, please be sure to enroll in the new program so that ALA receives every possible dollar it can from the FCR program. The Fry's gift card program accounted for 2/3 of our Scrip program earnings each year, so we will need to make up these dollars as much as possible.
- Please remember that every other grocery store in Arizona DOES offer Scrip, so feel free to review your shopping options and purchase Scrip for other stores.
- Between now and 7/27/13 feel free to reload your Fry's gift cards and/or purchase new cards from ALA or your Scrip rep at your church. Any cards reloaded or purchased WILL receive our usual 6% profit that we will share with you for tuition credit or your congregation. The money will remain on your card until you have spent it - the money will NOT disappear on 7/27.
- You can load $500 onto a card at a time, and you can have up to $1,000 on a card.
