Scrip fundraising is a program that allows families to raise money for ALA and our Arizona WELS elementary schools. Scrip is just another way to pay for everyday purchases using gift cards in place of cash, checks, and credit cards.
You purchase gift cards from the ALA Scrip program at face value, and ALA's coordinator orders those cards from Great Lakes Scrip at a reduced price. The difference is an instant rebate for ALA's program. It's really that simple!
ALA then shares 50% or more of these rebates with the purchaser to be designated toward tuition credit at ALA or one of our Arizona WELS elementary schools, toward an Arizona WELS congregation or school, or toward ALA tuition assistance. (If desired the Scrip purchaser also may request their portion of rebates in cash.) The opportunity to designate Scrip rebates is offered in January and June.
When you use Scrip gift cards at your favorite retailers, you're fundraising while you shop. Great Lakes Scrip Center offers over 300 of the country's biggest brands, including grocery, department stores, gas stations, restaurants, hotels, home improvement, and more. Just by using Scrip to pay for your normal weekly purchases, you can easily raise $500 or more per year. It's time to put your shopping dollars to work!
Note that Scrip is available in traditional plastic gift cards, but it's also available in digital ScripNow! ecards as well. Visit www.ALAcoyotes.org/Scrip for more information. Some plastic gift cards are also reloadable. This makes Scrip available 24/7 from the comfort of your own home as well as your smart phone when you're on the run!
